Difference between Food and Diet & Health Selection?

In order to determine whether a product is to be registered in the ‘Diet & Health products category” or in the “Food products category”, Monde Selection will base its decision on the product’s commercial claims.

If the product is presented to the consumer as being a food supplement or having health benefits, it will be registered and judged in the Diet and Health products category.

This type of product will be assessed by Monde Selection on a scientific basis.

However if it is a food product, generally admitted as being good for the health but not especially emphasized as such in the commercial claims, then it will be registered in the Food products category.

This type of product will be assessed by Monde Selection on a sensory basis.
