Confectionary from the House of Burchell Baked Cheese Tart ‘Nagoya’
A Japanese version of the traditional cheesecake advertised as a Nagoya style baked cheese tart
The product is presented in an elegant and impeccably labelled jar, which itself is contained in an attractive box that also contains a wooden spoon.
Visually speaking, it appears as a smooth white paste.
In terms of texture, this honey is rather smooth, but if exposed to low temperatures, it is likely to crystallize, which is nevertheless a reversible process.
On the nose, the aromas turn out to be discreetly floral without presenting any aggressiveness and with a fragrance that was greatly admired for its finesse.
On the palate, one is immediately enchanted by a beautiful manifestation of tastes that remain floral but develop in a much more intense manner than on the nose, and which are coupled with a remarkable sweetness.
The finish is astonishingly long-lasting and is marked by the same floral sensation that lingers for minutes on the palate and on the tongue.
All these qualities led the Monde Selection Jury to award this year’s Gold Quality Award to the product and to nominate it for the 2022 Jury Prize.
"Each year, one product per category is awarded the Prize of the Jury as a token of excellence in know-how and quality. In order to qualify, the product must be unanimously selected as a “coup de cœur” by the jury members. The winner of the Prize of the Jury is then selected from a group of just 5 nominees, which makes this award an even greater honour for the recipient."
For the tastings of Food Products, Monde Selection relies on the expertise of eminent experts such as Michelin starred chefs, who grant the Bronze, Silver, Gold or Grand Gold awards at the end of the evaluation process.More information
