Cheshirskii Kot

Initially launched in 2003, the Tarkos brewery is located in the Voronezh region of Russia and was created by a team of specialists from all over the world. German brewers and engineers were behind the development of the project and were responsible for accomplishing the key phases of its implementation. They were also responsible for selecting the best equipment from Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland and Belgium. The brewery itself was built and installed by specialists from Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Bulgaria and Russia.

The Cheshirkii Kot beer evaluated by the members of the Monde Selection jury this year is a German white beer-type that won the Grand Gold Quality Award.

Appearance-wise, the opalescent and cloudy tone of its beautiful light yellow colour is perfectly in line with the standards of the category that it belongs to.

The foam that this beer generates upon pouring is abundant, has a nice density and retains its hold for a long time.

On the nose, one immediately detects spicy aromas such as cloves as well as the phenolic notes that are typical of this type of German white beer. These are complemented by the presence of enjoyable touches of banana, which are often encountered in such beers.

The palate corresponds to the aromas identified on the nose, accompanied by the same spicy notes and touches of banana that make this product a very refreshing drink.

The refreshing nature of this drink continues manifesting well into its rather long-lasting aftertaste.

A set of qualities that, beyond the Grand Gold Quality Award mentioned above, led the tasters to nominate this Cheshirskii Kot among the beers likely to win the Jury Prize in this category this year.

"Each year, one product per category is awarded the Prize of the Jury as a token of excellence in know-how and quality. In order to qualify, the product must be unanimously selected as a “coup de cœur” by the jury members. The winner of the Prize of the Jury is then selected from a group of just 5 nominees, which makes this award an even greater honour for the recipient."
