Marketed and produced by the Chinese company Shandong Jingyue Biotechnology Company, this supplement aims to provide probiotics to young children. The strains used in the product are specified and explained to the consumer, but they are also well studied in humans. Studies have shown positive results on the microbiota as well as a potential reduction in the incidence of transit disorders (especially diarrhea).
The B. longum CECT7894 (KABP042) and P. pentosaceus CECT8330 (KABP041) strains could be effective in shortening crying time due to infantile colic and could also be helpful in improving faecal consistency.
Although more studies are still needed, the combination of these strains is already very promising.
