From a sensory standpoint, the jury appreciated the whisky’s visual finesse, with a clear, deep golden colour and excellent clarity that reinforced its polished character.

On the nose, the aromatic profile is composed yet nuanced. Grain and floral elements lead, with touches of cedar and a light smokiness that brings dimension without overpowering. Subtle notes of leather, spice, and a soft malty sweetness add further range and depth, making the nose both accessible and engaging.

The palate continues this theme of balance and quiet complexity. The entry is smooth, gradually revealing layers of fruit, oak and a restrained peatiness. Mid-palate, vanilla and spice come forward, supported by alcohol that is firmly integrated and provides structure without heat. The flavour progression is steady and coherent, carrying into a clean and persistent finish.

Texturally, the whisky is supple and well-paced, allowing its flavours room to evolve. A lingering finale of wood, light smoke and dry spice provides clarity and length without heaviness.
