Our evaluation process goes far beyond regular tastings, it consist of a 360° quality evaluation on up to 30 criteria that matter most to consumers worldwide.
To complete the evaluation of the sensory qualities such as the taste, aroma, flavour, sensation in the mouth or any other relevant organoleptic criteria, the experts also take into account a scientific and legal approach.
They take time to share their knowledge and experience meanwhile analysing carefully each product individually.
This methodology will guarantee a fair and global analysis of each product for the consumer.

It is these years of experience that make the members of our jury capable of judging products from all over the world with the subtlety required for this task. They have an excellent knowledge of the culinary cultures of the 5 continents and take time to share their and experience meanwhile evaluating carefully each product individually.
The Spirits & Liqueurs jury is composed of internationally recognized oenologists, master sommeliers, oenology professors, chemical engineers and specialised press columnists. The Jury experts are selected with great care for their skills and are specialized in one or several spirits or liqueurs such as aguardiente, cognac, gin, kaoliang, makgeolli, rum, sake, vodka, whisky, etc…
Products having obtained a final result of minimum 60% are awarded a Quality Label of Bronze, Silver, Gold or Grand Gold by the Spirits & Liqueurs Jury of Monde Selection.
This label can be displayed on the awarded product for a period of 3 years without additional costs.
Our Quality Labels are a guarantee for consumers that the product has been highly appreciated and validated by a professional jury.

A detailed evaluation report containing the observations and comments of our Jury experts can be obtained upon specific request. This report provides the producers a better understanding of the elements that the Jury highly appreciated and those that are open to improvement.
In addition to the results, Monde Selection provides for each product a graph containing the position of the main parameters against international standards such as ISO norms, legal prescriptions and industries' guidelines.
