Reserva de la Familia

The “Reserva de la Familia” coffee is produced in Colombia for La Divisa Sas by the Gonzalez family. It is crafted using carefully selected and harvested beans from La perla de Fresno, a unique site in Colombia located at an altitude of 1600 meters, in the humid mountains surrounding the Nevado del Ruiz.

Reserva de la Familia represents the finest part of the harvest from a company that has been producing some of the world’s finest coffees for forty years.

This exceptional product is packaged in an equally exceptional container, an elegant Erlenmeyer flask, which is then enclosed in a beautiful cardboard case. The transparency of the flask allows for the admiration of large, beautifully roasted beans with a relatively light color, indicating a well-controlled and balanced roasting process.

Once brewed, the product reveals a clear beverage with a not-too-dark color, resulting from the lightly roasted process mentioned earlier. On the nose, it exhibits notes of nuts and hazelnuts, and some tasters even detect hints of vanilla or banana.

In the mouth, it unveils a pleasant acidity that imparts a refreshing quality, accompanied by intriguing apricot and lime notes. It may benefit from a touch of additional bitterness to achieve perfect balance.

The finish is highly enjoyable, offering a long-lasting, fresh, and remarkably fruity conclusion.

The exceptional character of this coffee has led the tasters of Monde Selection to classify it as the nominee for this year’s Jury Prize.

“Each year, one product per category is awarded the Prize of the Jury as a token of excellence in know-how and quality. In order to qualify, the product must be unanimously selected as a “coup de cœur” by the jury members. The winner of the Prize of the Jury is then selected from a group of just 5 nominees, which makes this award an even greater honour for the recipient.”
