Monde Selection distinguishes itself by being one of the only Quality Institute in the World to offer a global quality evaluation of Spirits & Liqueurs. A panel of independent experts take the time to analyse each product individually on a set of up to 30 parameters that cover sensory, scientific and legal aspects of importance to consumers.
EVALUATION PROCESS
The evaluation procedure of Spirits & Liqueurs is mainly based on organoleptic tests. Complemented by a scientific and legal approach, Monde Selection’s process goes far beyond regular tastings. The Spirits and Liqueurs Jury takes time to share their knowledge and experience meanwhile analysing carefully each product individually. The evaluation sessions take place during a period of four months every year.
This methodology will guarantee a fair and global analysis of the product for the consumer.
THE JURIES
For the evaluation of Spirits & Liqueurs, Monde Selection appoints eminent professionals such as internationally recognized oenologists, master sommeliers, oenology professors, chemical engineers and specialised press columnists. The Jury experts are selected with great care for their skills and are specialized in one or several spirits or liqueurs such as aguardiente, cognac, gin, kaoliang, makgeolli, rum, sake, vodka, whisky, etc.
Quality Labels
Products having obtained a final result of minimum 60% are awarded a Quality Label of Bronze, Silver, Gold or Grand Gold by the Spirits & Liqueurs Jury of Monde Selection. Our Quality Labels are a guarantee for consumers that the product has been highly appreciated and validated by an independent and professional jury.
