Tomato Juice

Crafted from tomatoes grown and harvested in the Taibara farm in Matsue, Shimane prefecture, on the west coast of Honshu Island, this remarkable juice has once again been highly appreciated by the entire panel of Monde Selection tasters. The exceptional conditions and perfect maritime climate in which the fruits are harvested greatly contribute to the success of the product.

These tomatoes are cultivated in greenhouses using a special process that provides all the necessary nutrients without excessive water intake or bacterial contamination. They receive meticulous care from those who cultivate them and are systematically harvested in the early morning, at the peak of their flavor.

The method of cultivation imparts an extraordinary level of sweetness, lycopene, and natural glutamate to these tomatoes, surpassing those grown through more conventional means, especially considering they are harvested at the optimum level of ripeness.

The result is a magnificent juice, beautifully packaged in a transparent glass bottle, presented in an elegant cardboard sleeve that protects it from light.

This completely natural juice is devoid of any additives, not even water. It showcases a vibrant red color solely derived from the ripeness of the tomatoes used, along with a delightful creaminess that provides a smooth and velvety mouthfeel.

With minimal acidity, it reveals an exceptionally flavorful taste, thanks in part to its high content of natural glutamates, delivering a satisfying umami sensation. Its lingering finish on the palate is truly impressive.

These qualities have once again placed it as the nominee for this year’s Monde Selection Jury Prize.

“Each year, one product per category is awarded the Prize of the Jury as a token of excellence in know-how and quality. In order to qualify, the product must be unanimously selected as a “coup de cœur” by the jury members. The winner of the Prize of the Jury is then selected from a group of just 5 nominees, which makes this award an even greater honour for the recipient.”
